Metamorphosis - Official Journal of the Lepidopterists' Society of Africa
The Lepidopterists' Society of Africa (LepSoc Africa) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study, conservation, and appreciation of butterflies and moths (Lepidoptera) across the Afrotropical region.
Founded in 1983, the society brings together both professional scientists and amateur enthusiasts to advance knowledge of African biodiversity.
The society is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC) administered by an elected Executive Council, with a mission to promote knowledge, conservation, and awareness of African butterflies and moths, bringing together a vibrant community of over 250 members, supported by regional branches in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Western Cape, as well as representatives across Africa.
