Title :
Abstract : Scent marking behavior by males of the skipper Coeliades forestan (Stoll,[1782]) (Hesperiidae: Coeliadinae) is described for the first time. Putative pheromone is deposited on the leaves of shrubs and trees by males, in a linear territory while patrolling, by means of a black, brush-like organ which is exserted from the anal end of the abdomen. Scent marking by male Lepidoptera appears not to have been reported before.
